JAN’S Q & A: Void-of-Course Moon

Topic: Void-of-Course Moon
FROM: J. G., New York

YOUR QUESTION:
This void of course moon thing is driving me crazy – its hard enough to schedule work and meetings and other appointments without this new thing I just learned about from this website. (I just found out I got married during a void of course moon and
mercury retrograde. Got divorced shortly after so I am inclined to believe in its power at the moment).

JAN’S REPLY:
Dear JG,
It is true that gaining knowledge can temporarily appear to be a restriction, but only as a prelude to a greater preparedness to handle our lives with more ease and success.

Avoiding taking outer actions during the Void of Course Moon does limit setting up meetings, but when the meeting occurs,
thinking is clear and the gathering doesn’t have to be repeated. In the long run, it saves the hassle of having to “clean up the mess” or experiencing a defeat that didn’t have to happen if the timing had been open to success.

Like you, I have gained the humility of yielding to these cycles due to past disappointments when I tried to go with my personal will, rather than using the extra edge of an awareness of timing.

I mistakenly made wishes on a new moon while it was void of course. I did not realize until it was too late that I should not do this. I am extremely green to the process and I hope the Universe understands that I only wish for the positive to be. I am afraid that doing this is going to backfire.

Can you tell me if I have done harm by doing this? When I wish on the next new moon will I be able to counteract the negativity that may or may not come about?

I truly believe that wishes made with good intentions will never be harmful regardless of the timing and I hope I am right.

    Thank you for your insight.

      Personal Note from Jan:

      Dear Kerry,

No negativity comes of wishing when the Moon is Void of Course. It is simply a time of confusion, so generally our minds – as well as the atmospheric energy – are not clear for straightforward, action-oriented results. It is not the most powerful time for wishing due to this lack of clarity. It is not an ‘evil’ time, simply a time better suited to reflection and gaining new insights, rather than pushing forward into fresh action.

      Hope this helps…

      With Love,
      Jan
