Jan’s Diary – THE VALUE OF NON-DOING

Not long ago, I was dating two men. Through a series of quite unexpected and very intense events, everything ‘blew up’ and then I had zero boyfriends. Whew…

All of us pulled back and went into a kind of “hibernation”. Each of us – including a past girlfriend of one of the suitors – got hurt. There was so much destructive energy afoot that it was overwhelming.

At least most of us have somehow gained the age and wisdom to know when to cease forward action, and pull back. There is a time for reevaluation, for learning and growing from intense life experiences, for re-defining what we want, for being willing to grow and mature in character, and for our hearts to heal.

It is very easy when living in a society geared to “results” and taking action, to continue moving forward to create what one perceives to be a desired result. Opposition can trigger competition and forced forward action. However, without taking the time to pull back and reassess– to personally change and grow from the event–even the outer attainment of one’s aim is only temporary.

The very quality of character that subconsciously created the original upset– if left unhealed– will go into . . . . . .

FULL MOON REMINDER… Saturday, May 5th, 11:35 pm – EDST, is the FULL MOON exact day and time in MAY! Don’t miss this opportunity to view your life objectively. During the three days around the Full Moon, you can see where you need to make changes in an important relationship. Once aware of your interaction, how can you best adjust your approach so that you can reach your life goals?

There is an opportunity for insight and progress inherent in the Full Moon. People often react emotionally during the days of the Full Moon due to a feeling of helplessness. They become aware of the distance between the way they want their life to be, and the way it currently is.

Often, when they see this gap, they become upset. The feeling of powerlessness comes from awareness of the discrepancy between the way we would like things to be, and the way they actually are. The reflection from their environment shows them a realistic view of their relationships. The empowerment is that once aware, you have the chance to change things successfully.

Because this FULL MOON occurs in the sign of SCORPIO, the emotional energy stirred in the atmosphere is passionate and intense. You will be very aware of the psychology of the people around you. Power plays may arise, as those you are interacting with may be perceiving situations in a way that leads them to think they are not getting their way. This can result in exaggerated displays of dignity. As is often the case with the days of the Full Moon, people get upset.

This is a powerful time (5/4-5/7) for reevaluating the new beginnings you made during the New Moon earlier this month. Re-read your wish list and notice how where you are now is either closer to – or further away from – the dreams in your heart that you would like to manifest in your life.

Given that this Full Moon is in the sign of SCORPIO – and you are more aware than usual of the psychology of those who are close – what adjustments can you make in handling important relationships so that they become more supportive of your dreams?

The Full Moon in SCORPIO opposes the Sun in TAURUS, so when people get upset, it’s likely because of an irritation involving money or the perceived betrayal of a bond. If you are on the ‘receiving end’ of the upset, take your time to help them re-gain a sense of personal security. Perhaps reassurance or showing them the facts and figures involved will do the trick.
